Info A rare species of Indonesian owl, described as an elusive and little-known bird. IUCN rated 'Near threatened' as a consequence of small population and habitat loss. No FPs of this species. Whether this one is FP might depend on what you think of the blurry branch, but I'm fine with it, it helps frame the birds. Neutral Hmmmm... The birds are awesome, but I'm not a fan of this sort of vignetting. It looks like a very ordinary version based on exposure and highlights. If you use a combo of shadows, dehaze and dark hues instead, such a vignetting would look more natural and not so intrusive. --Cart (talk) 16:10, 8 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Of course, you made the right choice to pick this one. For its medium fault, it is the best we have of the species. Unfortunately, Mr JJ is not known for taking part in discussions about his photos here on FPC or be open to changes or advice.
